Crafting

Our crafting system has incredible depth - most things can be crafted out of any relevant material, inheriting the blend of properties used to make it. Few items will be truly identical!

Material Properties

When you craft an item, the materials you use determine its properties. For example, a sword made from iron ore will have different characteristics than one made from steel. The quality and type of materials used will directly impact the final product's effectiveness, durability, and value.

Unique Items

Because materials can be combined in various ways, and each material has its own properties, the items you craft will be unique. Two players crafting the same type of sword might end up with very different results based on the materials they choose and the quality of those materials. This creates a truly player-driven economy where craftsmanship matters.

Crafting Skills

Crafting is tied to utility skills, and different crafting disciplines require different skills. As you level up your crafting skills, you'll unlock new recipes and be able to work with higher quality materials. Some recipes are only available through specific guilds or organizations, making reputation with those groups valuable for crafters.

Crafting Stations

Different types of crafting require different facilities. You might need a forge for metalworking, a loom for textiles, or an alchemy table for potions. These can be found in cities, built at your homestead, or accessed through organizations you have reputation with.
